Two projects I'm involved with cross paths in Edinburgh this August. One is a massive feat of physical comedy. The other is a work of micro-cinematic, tabletop illusions.
After eighteen months of development, my longtime collaborator Geoff Sobelle is premiering CLOWN SHOW. I am joining the company as Tour Director.The world premiere will be at the PS21 Center for Contemporary Performance in Chatham, New York (July 3–5). Following that, the show runs at the Edinburgh International Festival in August.

This past year, I designed the magic for Thaddeus Phillips' new piece. Inspired by Georges Méliès, the show uses micro-cinema, object puppetry, and classic stagecraft to build illusions that fit entirely on a desktop.It runs throughout August at Summerhall’s Anatomy Lecture Theatre.
