I am writing this from the tech table at the PS21 Center for Contemporary Performance in Chatham, NY.
We are 48 hours away from the world premiere of Geoff Sobelle’s Clown Show. Tech week is in full swing, and the theater is currently buried in cables, props, and crumbling musical instruments.
Friday night is completely sold out, but the theater has just opened a donation-based dress rehearsal for tomorrow night, Thursday, July 2nd. If you are upstate, it's a chance to see the final chaos lock into place before the official opening.
After this weekend, we pack up the production and ship it to Scotland for the August run in Edinburgh.
